Work for America is accepting applications for its Spring 2026 Talent Accelerator program, a free, national workshop designed to help city HR and operations teams enhance how hiring works inside their organizations.

(Interested teams can apply here.)

The Spring cohort runs from April 21 through June 9. Work for America will be accepting applications through March 20.

Over the course of eight weeks, city teams participating in the virtual Transforming City Hiring Processes workshop will map their end-to-end hiring processes, identify where delays occur and build a concrete plan to cut time-to-hire, according to Work for America. The program combines weekly facilitated sessions with individualized coaching sessions and peer exchange with other cities facing the same challenges.

“Cities across the country know they need to hire faster, but many don’t have the capacity to step back and analyze how their hiring systems actually work,” said Caitlin Lewis, executive director at Work for America.

“This Talent Accelerator workshop will give city teams the tools and support to map their hiring processes, identify where delays happen and emerge with a clear plan to fill their critical roles and better serve their communities.”
