Please Note:

During 2024 we will begin the transition to PSHRA-CP and PSHRA-SCP. Current active certification holders will receive further details about this transition.

As part of this transition, we will be releasing updated exams, which will be available by the end of 2024.

During this transition, there may be delays in the ability to earn new certifications.

IPMA-CP is intended for entry-level and mid-level public sector HR professionals.

All public sector HR professionals are eligible for this certification; there are no prerequisites.

There are three steps to attaining (and maintaining) your IPMA-CP.

  1. Complete the Public Sector HR Essentials course.
  2. Sit for and pass the IPMA-CP exam, included with your course registration.
  3. Receive your certification credentials.

IPMA-SCP is for senior-level public sector HR professionals.

Contact the Certification department for more details about earning the SCP certification as we transition to PSHRA-SCP. Opportunities to pilot test the new SCP exam while earning your certification will be available. Please let us know if you are interested.
