Kristen Terry is an experienced public sector Human Resources professional with 15 years of experience working in the public sector, and a strong commitment to her community. She currently works as an HR Generalist for the City of Asheboro, North Carolina, and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration along with professional certifications from both the Public Sector HR Association (PSHRA) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
For over a decade, Kristen has been a PSHRA member, has served on the Conference Planning Committee, and is currently the Past President of the PSHRA North Carolina Chapter, which received the 2024 PSHRA Award of Excellence under her leadership. In addition to her HR roles, she co-owns Terry Property Management, a small business focused on providing affordable housing solutions for families in central North Carolina.
Kristen is also active in community service and serves on the boards of the Asheboro-Randolph Chamber of Commerce, Communities in Schools of Randolph County, and the Executive Committee of the Blue Ridge Environmental Defense League, a multi-state environmental advocacy group. Recognized for her authenticity, collaborative approach, and deep commitment to public service, Kristen focuses on building strong relationships and advancing organizational growth by broadening reach, growing strategic partnerships, and increasing visibility.
