NYU Course Designed to Help Professionals Succeed in Distributed Environments

As public sector organizations continue to wrestle with finding the right balance of in-person and remote work, New York University (NYU) is offering a certificate designed to help individuals and teams thrive in hybrid work settings.

In collaboration with Tulsa Remote, NYU’s School of Professional Studies is offering the Remote Work Success Certificate to equip professionals “with the skills to succeed, manage teams and advance their careers in distributed environments,” according to an NYU statement.

Delivered through three interactive modules, those earning the certificate “gain tools for productivity, collaboration, leadership and long-term career growth in the remote economy,” according to NYU, which notes that the first two modules are presented synchronously online.

The final module, The Future of Remote Work & Career Growth, takes place in person in Tulsa, Okla., over two days. As part of the in-person module, participants also take part in Tulsa Remote’s “organized community and networking activities.” Travel and accommodation for participants not located in the Tulsa region will be covered as part of the program, according to NYU.

“The Remote Work Success Certificate welcomes both Tulsa Remote participants and open-enrollment professionals,” the school’s statement read. “All learners take part in the same modules and shared activities, including the final in-person days in Tulsa. This blended cohort offers a unique opportunity to connect with professionals from across industries and with members of Tulsa’s vibrant remote-work community.”
