Job Description

Biweekly Salary $4,114.71 – $5,282.85

Annual Salary: $106,982.47 – $137,354.21


The City of Stockton’s Human Resources Department is excited to announce an outstanding career opportunity for a dynamic and forward-thinking professional to serve as a Supervising Human Resources Analyst. This key leadership role oversees the Workforce Planning Division, which plays a critical part in shaping the City’s workforce through recruitment, classification, and support of the Civil Service and Salary Setting Commissions.

We are seeking an accomplished human resources professional with a strong background in public sector HR and a passion for workforce strategy and innovation. The ideal candidate will bring broad and well-rounded HR experience, sound professional judgment, and the ability to manage complex and sensitive assignments with a high degree of independence. This position offers the opportunity to apply expertise in classification, compensation, recruitment, examination development, and related human resources functions while contributing innovative ideas in a collaborative public agency environment.

Work Schedule

This position follows the City of Stockton’s 9/80 work schedule:

  • Monday through Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with alternating Fridays off

May be required to work additional hours and/or weekends to support critical initiatives.

 

 

Job Requirements

Education

Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Business Administration, Public Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.

Experience

Four (4) years of increasingly responsible professional human resources experience in a generalist capacity, including responsibilities in more than one of the areas described above. At least two (2) years of lead or supervisory responsibility is required. Experience in a public agency setting is highly desirable.
