Step into the Mountain View of Tomorrow as our next Senior HR Analyst!
The City of Mountain View is on the lookout for a strategic, people-focused Senior Human Resources Analyst ready to bring their blend of technical background, HR analytical expertise, and leadership finesse to our innovative team. In this high-impact role, you won’t just support HR functions; you’ll lead and oversee a dedicated team of HR professionals, directly shaping the future of our organization. If you’re driven to grow, make a difference, and support a progressive workforce in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this is the opportunity for you!
Why This Role Stands Out:
- Trusted Leadership: Our Senior HR Analysts are the go-to for guidance, mentorship, and strategic insights, building trust-based relationships with employees, retirees, and city departments. We’re looking for someone who can step confidently into this role, becoming a reliable and approachable resource for HR team members and the broader City of Mountain View community.
- A Dynamic Environment for Growth: With fresh HR leadership and a motivated team, this is the perfect moment to join us on our journey of continuous improvement and professional development. As the Senior HR Analyst, you’ll supervise and guide a team of newer employees who are ready to learn and develop. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow as a leader while mentoring and coaching your team to reach their full potential in a responsive, ever-evolving environment.
- Broad Impact Across the City: With a new Human Resources Director who has been in the role for less than a year, we are actively assessing and redefining work areas to better align with our evolving goals. This means your focus within this role will be shaped by your expertise in one of the core HR areas—whether it’s recruitment, classification, compensation, benefits/leaves of absence, or HRIS—allowing you to make a strategic impact where you excel most.
- Lead Strategic Recruitment & HR Initiatives (if assigned): Spearhead City-wide recruitment efforts from inception to completion, manage exam development, and provide expert guidance on position management. Dive into high-impact HR projects like job analyses, recruitment exam planning, and oversee classification and compensation studies—all to support our evolving workforce needs.
- Exemplary Customer Service: Be a trusted HR contact across departments, providing clear, reliable guidance on policies, labor agreements, and position management, ensuring top-tier service across the board.
