Qualifications:
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business, public administration or related field; Master’s degree preferred; certification as a Human Resource professional through an approved agency preferred; and, considerable experience in human resource management, preferably in the public sector, which shall have included supervisory experience.
- Must possess reliable transportation to work site(s).
- Extensive knowledge of human resource information systems; trends, best practices, development issues, and theories of human resource management.
- Knowledge of leadership techniques, principles and procedures to assign work, schedule, supervise, train, and evaluate the work of assigned staff; principles and processes for providing customer service including setting and meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Skill in use of computer software, especially Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing; lead teams; facilitate groups; maintain effective working relationships with employees, department directors, County officials, representatives from the private sector or other localities, and the public.
